Return to Office and Roll-Out of COVID-19 Vaccinations – Fresh Employment Law Issues?
As of 5 April 2021, Singapore has allowed more workers to return to work from office. At the same time, COVID-19 vaccinations are progressively being rolled out to the rest of the working population. This is all good news, yet fresh issues arise from these.

With the rule on default-WFH lifted, how will you manage employees who insist on staying on current working arrangements, and can they? What if their productivity gains are lost when they return to WFO? Is this a performance issue? If you ride the wave and continue current WFH arrangements, what impact does it have on your employment policies, and on which policies specifically? As more activities resume at the workplace, can you ask whether your job candidates, employees, contractors, or even visitors have been vaccinated? In what situations, if any, can you require employees to vaccinate? How do you manage employees who are not vaccinated / will not obtain vaccination?

All these are critical issues moving forward and each workplace being different, will face its own unique challenge amid the developments. Come join us in this Breakfast session, where we discuss these issues and hear from one another on the issues that you have faced in the one month since the WFO relaxation.

In this regard, feel free to share in advance any questions or areas of discussion that you might have and would like us to specifically address during the session by email at kala.anandrajah@rajahtann.com or alvin.tan@rajahtann.com.We look forward to hearing back from you.
